Bing Li 李冰

Bing is a native Mandarin teacher born in China and now based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Bing has moved to the UK since 2005, and completed her first and Master degree in the UK. She gained her early teaching experience as a teaching assistant and seminar tutor at Marketing Department at Lancaster University. After deciding to move on from her academic life, Bing worked as a Strategic Manager at a well-established brand consulting agency in England.

When Bing's daughter goes to the primary school here, she notices that her daughter’s English is overtaking her first language- Mandarin significantly, and has gradually missed interests in speaking Mandarin. Bing starts to ponder one question, "how to provide a learning environment where children can be motivated to learn a language in a fun yet effective way?" Luckily, Bing and Yi-Ting find their shared belief of the best teaching (and learning) attitude known as “edutainment”. The most effective approach is a combination of education and fun. This is even more crucial to those children who learn Mandarin as a second language. As a result, the brand new program Mini Mandarin Players has been launched!

Bing has achieved a Diploma in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages recently that is rewarded by TQUK, an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation across the UK. Bing is very creative in the class. She has passion for teaching and has really good communication skills especially with children. She is developing lesson plans as well as being one of the teachers for Mini Mandarin Players program.
