2025 Leamington Spa Competitive Festival

A huge shoutout to our incredible piano students, who have worked tirelessly to prepare their pieces for this event over the past few months.

Participating in this festival was a great opportunity, allowing us to observe other performances and receive feedback from two esteemed adjudicators. It was also an excellent chance to perform in a welcoming environment for families, friends, and strangers, experiencing the nerves, excitement, and fulfilment that enrich our music learning journey!

We have obtained some wonderful achievements in this event (first names listed alphabetically):

• Adrian won the cup at the class of Popular style, Grade 4 max

• Ivaylo won the cup at the class of Grade 3 & 4

• Ivaylo won the cup at the class of Virtuoso piece or study, Grade 4 max

• Olivia received the 2nd place at the class of Popular style, Grade 5-8

• Ollie won the Sir Edward German Centenary cup, Schumann Kinderszenen

• Ollie received the 3rd place with distinction at the class of Virtuoso piece or study, Grade 5-8

• Sophie received the 2nd place with distinction at the class of British or American composer

• Sophie & Matthew received the 2nd place with distinction at the class of performance by members of the same family, piano duet

• Yuet received the 2nd place with distinction at the class of Pre-grade, Ages 8-11

• Yu Ching won the cup at the class of Disney arrangement

Congratulations to all these amazing performers, and a big applause to every participant! Whether you received an award or not, you're all the top and brave performers in my eyes! I'm incredibly proud of you, and I hope you feel the same!
